So because of a great GOD I am preparing for the next step in my life and exercising a lesson in faith to the utmost degree. In less than a weeks time I will be boarding a flight to the city that I believe holds my destiny, New York City.

I’ve talked to three very important people over the last two days and spoke about being anxious and a little nervous and this is the advice I received or the words of encouragement in regards to my dream

Mom(Cynthia Oliver) - Consistency is key for reaching the destiny GOD has for you

Mentor (Reginald Wilson) - No worries

LB (Jay Sweet) - Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure.

All of the words are helpful moving forward, and I know it wont be easy chasing this dream but like my mom always told me, no one said it would be easy.

Why am I saying all of this, to hopefully encourage anyone hesitant to go after their hearts desire, to pray on it and go for it. From the time I was 6 years old I’ve wanted to be an actor and now is the time. You can either go after your dreams or help build someone else’s. Either way you only live once.

Why Act? A simple question which, garners a simple answer to me. I act because I must. Since I was about six or seven years old I have been able to captivate and hold peoples attention both young and old. Now, at the time I didn’t know this ability would translate to the acting but, as I grew older I was able to notice how watching certain television shows or movies was able to make me feel. It gave me the sense that I could be anything I saw, a super hero, spy, anything imaginable. Why was this so important and how does it relate to why I choose to act? Well as simply as I can state it, acting has done two things for me that I want to share with the world. The first thing being that acting is the possibility of the human spirit and forces us have an honest conversation with ourselves about our insecurities, our loves, likes, dislikes, painful memories. It is a window to the soul for self help. Those are the things I want to share with the world, the idea that through my acting we can be shown that we possess endless possibilities and that honesty within us lends to a better quality of life and can prompt someone else to have the same internal talk. That is why I act to be a messenger to the possibility of the human spirit.
